Join Dr. Richard Peigler, an entomologist and biology professor at the University of the Incarnate Word, along with his students, for Saturday with a Scientist: Studying Silk. Dr. Peigler specializes in wild silkmoths and will guide you through the fascinating world of natural fibers.

Get an up-close look at specimens through a microscope, feel the texture of wild silk and discover the incredible variety of fibers found in the natural world. Learn how wild silkmoths contribute to the production of silk and explore the science behind these unique materials.
