Family and Friends Fishing at Acequia Park

Learn the basics of fishing at this fun, free family event!
Learn basics fishing skills such as casting, tackle and bait, fishing regulations and ethics, aquatic conservation and more.
Waterside fishing will also take place with the help of TPWD Certified Angler Education Instructors.
No fishing license will be required for those fishing at the event during event times.
Please come prepared to spend the morning in the Texas summer sunshine and dress appropriately in light, loose clothing; wear a hat and sunglasses, bring sunscreen and plenty of water to stay hydrated!
Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times - No drop-offs please.
