The Alamo - America's 250 Anniversary

Celebrate America's 250th Anniversary at the Alamo with a variety of demonstrations and programs throughout the day.

The Alamo's Living History team dressed in period clothing will offer free, family-friendly activities including a patriotic flag project, a children's drill-and-march lesson, and a battle drum program.

Additionally, their popular daily musket firing demonstration will take place at 10:30 AM on Plaza de Valero.

6:00-8:00 PM Evening Live Music
Fort Sam’s Own 323rd Army Brass Quintet and Rock Band will be performing live on the pavilion stage at Plaza de Valero! Guests are encouraged to bring chairs and picnic blankets to the greenspace in front of the historic Menger Hotel and enjoy the live music. The performance is free and open to the public.
