How do chemical reactions launch rockets?

Inspired by the special exhibition Surviving Space, this hands-on workshop explores the chemistry and physics of rocketry. You’ll experiment to identify the ideal chemical balance to launch a film canister rocket.

Important Information:

Advanced registration required. Participation in this event requires Witte Museum general admission (not included), plus STEAM Sunday ticket for each participant.
Purchase includes all supplies needed for interactive workshop and collectible button.
Non-participating family members are welcome (space permitting) and do not need to purchase a ticket.
Recommended for all ages over 5.
Program runs approximately 45-60 minutes.
