Dia De Los Muertos by Esperanza Peace & Justice Center

Join us in honoring our antepasados and conserving the traditions of our Mexican heritage and the Westside at our annual Día de Muertos celebration at the Rinconcito de Esperanza.
There will be displays of community altars/ofrendas, live music, face painting, food, and more! The evening will highlight readings of literary ofrendas to remember our dead, and calavera poems that poke fun at the living and their untimely encounters with La Muerte or La Catrina. We will also have a procession through the neighborhood, so please join us! Folks are welcome to dress up and bring an instrument or noise maker for the procession.
Our live performances will commence at 5PM and we will be holding a procession beginning at 6PM.

Additionally, el Conjunto de Rito y Hunter will grace the entire Rinconcito throughout the night performing traditional redobas and chotices, walzes y más!
Bring your chairs & set-up to watch the performances, Dancing is encouraged!
