Join us for a special celebration of life at San Antonio Zoo's Dia de los Muertos event!
This traditional Mexican holiday holds great significance in our vibrant city, and we invite you to honor the memories of our beloved community animals. Bring a framed photo or print a photo of your pet at the zoo to display on our temporary animal ofrenda, a beautifully adorned altar. Our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council will provide a free photo printing station and DIY frame decoration station for you to add a personal touch to your cherished memories.
-Get ready to be serenaded by Mateo Lopez, the world's youngest Mariachi! His enchanting musical performance will add to the festive atmosphere between 3:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. each day.
-Photo printing and frames will be provided, so remember to 'favorite' a photo of your pet on your phone to be printed at the zoo (4x6 size, limit one per pet). You can retrieve your photos from November 4th to 11th or choose to donate them to our community ofrenda for future dates.
-Let's come together as a community at San Antonio Zoo and celebrate Dia de los Muertos, honoring the lives and spirits of our cherished animal companions.
