Paseo Xolo at The Main Plaza

This Second Saturday market promises to be extra special for the family! In addition to having the opportunity to purchase unique artisan objects, and hear great tunes, your kids can join a treasure hunt set in the Aztec Underworld with friendly Xolo, the iconic Mexican hairless dog, as your guide.
Children will participate in a challenge course that will help them learn about how the Aztecs viewed the afterlife, in order to de-mystify some of it. The Aztecs believed that in order to have a peaceful afterlife, one must give up everything that ties them to the earth, including their physical presence. These challenges will have kids running through the moving mountains, facing the harsh blowing winds, and "giving their heart" (making a valentine for) a jaguar.
This is a great way to expose kids to a different culture. We recommend ages 9 and up for this event.
