The Commemoration Opening Ceremony on February 23 marks the first day of the thirteen-day siege leading up to the Battle of the Alamo in 1836. On this day, the Mexican Army arrived, and the Texians realized that they were outnumbered and ill-prepared.
Join us in person for this free event at 10:00 a.m. We will also have living history demonstrations of the Mexican Army interpretation all day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
