Mehregan Persian Autumn Festival at La Villita

Mehr Foundation's annual Persian Autumn Festival at La Villita, celebrating Persian culture and arts at the historic La Villita Village. Join us for our 3rd annual Mehregan Persian Autumn Festival in celebration of our ancient Persian (Iranian) culture and arts. We are proud to announce the live performances by Iranian legendary actor and artist Ardavan Mofid, and local artists Sarmad Mahmood, Parissa Naini and Layali Entertainment Group. Our art exhibits are by local artists: Parnian Khadivfard, Parastoo Boostani, Saghar Roshan and decor by San Antonio-based designer, Shirin Saremi.
In an effort to unite communities our local nonprofit friends from Turkish, Ukranian and Armenian organizations and World Affairs Council will be hosting booths at this years festival. We've also partnered with MACFIT for a FREE community workout during the festival. Wine lovers get to enjoy tastes from Incontrada Vineyards and food from Pasha Mediterranean Grill and Baklovah Bakery (for purchase).
The festival is FREE and open to the public and takes place at the beautiful historic La Villita Village in downtown San Antonio from 3:00-7:00 pm. This year's theme: Poetry In Persian will highlight the rich history of Persian literature and poets like Rumi, Hafez, Khayyam and Ferdowsi.
