San Antonio Museum of Art - Kids' Studio

Join SAMA every 2nd Wednesday for Kids' Studio- a journey of creative expression, cultural discovery, and collaborative learning in a bilingual environment. This program is ideal for budding artists ages 0–5 and their caregivers. Come curious, leave inspired through sensory storytelling, interactive art activities, and imaginative thinking.
Check-in begins at 10:00 AM, and the program starts promptly at 10:15 AM.
Siblings, friends, and family of any age are welcome to come learn! Program pre-registration is encouraged before the event or on-site the day of.
2026 Topic Schedule:
Jan.- Inspired by DreamWeek San Antonio’s theme of Revelations, little artists will explore hidden details in the galleries, then create peek-inside collages filled with layered textures and surprise discoveries.
Feb.- Explore how paint and clay come together as they create colorful, tactile works inspired by our focus exhibition Canvas to Clay.
Apr.- Discover color and texture as you finger-paint bluebonnets inspired by Onderdonk’s Texas landscapes.
May- Make a colorful ribbon wand inspired by African masquerades and discover how movement brings art to life.
