Congo Falls is opening to the public, marking the return of gorillas to the San Antonio Zoo for the first time in over 30 years.

This world-class, two-acre habitat is a major milestone in the Zoo's 111-year history, setting a bold new standard for wildlife conservation, education, and animal care. From dynamic water features to lush landscapes and the towering Mays Family Silverback Peak, Congo Falls was designed to inspire awe while advancing our mission to secure a future for wildlife.
Plus, when the sun sets, the celebration continues! At 8:00 PM get ready for a 15-minute drone show featuring hundreds of luminous drones painting the sky in a dazzling tribute to gorillas and conservation.
