Government Canyon State Natural Area - First Day Hike: Bluff Spurs

Celebrate the first day of the new year with an adventure on the Bluff Spurs Trail.
You'll hike to an amazing overlook where you can get a real sense of the canyon that is the area's namesake. This hike is approximately 4 miles in length over rocky, rugged terrain.
Open to ages 10 and over; participants under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. No pets please. Be aware that this hike includes a fair amount of elevation gain over rugged terrain.
Please note: The hike is open to the first 15 who check in at the Frontcountry Trailhead between 9:00 and 9:15 a.m.
Meet in Parking Lot C at the Frontcountry Trailhead. The hike starts promptly at 9:30 AM.

Registration is NOT required for this hike. The hike is free but entrance fees to the Natural Area do apply.To ensure entrance and save time at the Fee Booth, please pre-purchase and print out a day pass.
Please note: Reserving a Day Pass does not guarantee a spot for you on the hike! The hike is limited to the first 15 participants to check in with the hike leader.
