City Nature Challenge: Creek Critters at Medina River Natural Area

Join Rubi Jaimes, Education Coordinator, for an exploration of Creek Critters! Rubi will begin by introducing the basics of the iNaturalist app used to identify and document Creek Critters. We will then walk along park trails to the creek to identify and document as many critters as we can! Easy to moderate hiking. Please download the iNaturalist app prior to your hike.

This Creek Critters program is part of the preparation for the City Nature Challenge (CNC).What is the City Nature Challenge? Join the Texas Master Naturalists, San Antonio Natural Areas, Phil Hardberger Park Conservancy, Texas Parks Wildlife Dept and many others in a fun challenge to see which city can document the most plant and animal species.

* Meet at the office.
* Pre-download iNaturalist on your smart phone to submit and record your ID's!
* Please wear closed-toed shoes and dress for the weather.
