Texas Independence Celebration and Ceremony at The Alamo

Did you know that Texas was its own country for almost ten years? Come celebrate Texas Independence—declared on March 2, 1836—at the Alamo, with music and living history demonstrations throughout the day!

Join us for a special ceremony, presented in partnership with the Alamo Mission Chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas, to commemorate Texas Independence Day. This program will honor South San High School. Student performances will began at 12:30 p.m. followed by the ceremony at 1 p.m.

The event is free and all visitors are welcome.
