08/07 - 08/09 Back to School Tax Free Weekend
Texas shoppers can save some money and support local businesses during the annual Tax-Free Weekend, scheduled for August 7-9, 2026.
The sales tax exemption applies only to qualifying items you buy during the sales tax holiday. Items purchased before or after the sales tax holiday do not qualify for exemption, and no tax refund is available.
