Dr. Melendez will complete a three-dimensional clinical evaluation along with special radiographs for patients as young as age 7. Research and practice have shown that prior to age 7 the orthodontist’s clinical evaluation will provide invaluable information to the family and pediatric dentist who will follow the process of the young patient’s development which will effectively influence future orthodontic work. Skeletal problems should be corrected prior to puberty, while bones are moldable, to give the best results and avoid more aggressive treatment.
