This is a sweet 77-acre city park with an impoundment located on the magnificent Medina River that is ideal for swimming or floating. The park appears on some of the top ten lists of swimming holes, but you should know that this spot is best visited before it gets too hot or else there might not be much water here. Fishing also is allowed along the half-mile or so of river frontage that has some of those beautiful cypress trees often found in this part of the Hill Country. This area can be used as a take out point for a largely flat water kayak trip originating at Bandera Roadside Park I and Park II.
