San Antonio Zoo, operated by San Antonio Zoological Society, is a non-profit organization committed to securing a future for wildlife. The zoo welcomes more than a million visitors each year and is open year-round. San Antonio Zoo is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums, the Zoological Association of America, and Humane Certified by American Humane.
Self-Guided Tour - School group field trips are available year-round. Groups qualifying for school admission rates include public, private, religious, and home school groups, daycares, pre-schools, and after-school programs, YMCA, Head Start, colleges, and PCI. Discounted School Group Rates are available only for school field trips that register online.
Real.Wild.Classroom - Looking for an interactive, TEKS-aligned classroom program for your next zoo visit? The Real.Wild.Classroom. program includes a themed program with an animal presentation, biofacts, and a guided tour. This 1.5-hour program is appropriate for all grade levels but must be booked at least two weeks in advance.
School Overnights - Grab your sleeping bag and bring your classroom to the zoo! Overnight programs include small animal presentations, fun activities, flashlight tours, and more. An evening snack and continental breakfast are included, as well as admission to the zoo the following morning.
