Whittier Middle School

Welcome to Whittier Middle School, an internal charter school of the San Antonio Independent School District that offers a unique opportunity for our students to explore and learn about the many varied occupations available in the medical profession.

Through the partnership of The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, and as a companion to Edison High School's Health Professions Magnet School, our students have the privilege of such advanced and specialized study in the field of medicine at the middle school level. Professors, physicians, and scientists from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio visit our students and provide field trip opportunities to their facilities, allowing our students to experience first-hand what it entails to perform many of these health career jobs themselves.
