Creative Arts Middle School Summer Camp

MIDDLE SCHOOL CAMP PROGRAM

- Camp-style program for middle school students
- Camps last 1 full week
- Each camp is half-day
- Students may take up to 2 camps per week (full day)
- Location: West Side Brazos Campus

Week 1: July 13–17
Week 2: July 20–24

DAILY SCHEDULE
8:30am – 9:00am - Early drop-off (extra fee)
9:00am – 9:30am - Drop-off
9:30am – 12:30pm - Morning studio
12:30pm – 1:00pm - Lunch
1:00pm – 4:00pm - Afternoon studio
4:00pm – 4:30pm - Pick-up
4:30pm – 5:00pm - Late pick-up (extra fee)

WEEK 1 CLASS SCHEDULE

Morning classes (9:30am – 12:30pm)

Theatre arts: Audition basics
- Learn how to prepare for auditions
- Practice monologues and audition songs
- Headshots and cold readings

New media arts: The art of comic design
- Create your own comic from start to finish
- Learn character design, storytelling, and layout

Afternoon classes (1:00pm – 4:00pm)

Media arts: 3D silent shorts
- Learn how 3D movies are made
- Watch and create 3D films
- Focus on visual storytelling without dialogue
- Use camera angles, acting, and editing

Visual arts: Look of stained glass
- Design and paint faux stained glass
- Use transparent surfaces and templates

WEEK 2 CLASS SCHEDULE

Morning classes (9:30am – 12:30pm)

Theatre arts: Theatre sewing basics
- Learn hand sewing and machine sewing
- Repair clothing
- Create a basic garment (skirt or shirt)
- Advanced students can design their own patterns

Media arts: Photography zines
- Create a photo-based comic story
- Learn photography composition and staging
- Produce a short photo comic

Afternoon classes (1:00pm – 4:00pm)

New media arts: The art of comic design
- Create your own comic from start to finish
- Learn character design, storytelling, and layout

Visual arts: Mixed media fabric collage
- Use ink, marker, paint, and fabric collage work
- Create final artwork on a 9x12" surface

TUITION (PER WEEK)

Half day (1 session) / Full day (2 sessions)

- SAY Sí students
$65 per week (half day)
$100 per week (full day)

- Camp participants/Non SAY Sí students (early rate before May 1)
$165 per week (half day)
$300 per week (full day)

- Camp participants//Non SAY Sí students (standard rate)
$180 per week (half day)
$350 per week (full day)

Early drop-off and late pick-up: +$50 per week

REFUNDS AND CANCELLATIONS
- $25 registration fee per week is non-refundable
- Full refunds available if cancelled 10 or more business days before start
- Full refunds also available if the camp is cancelled by SAY Sí
- No refunds within 10 days of start
- No refunds for missed classes
