Family Stroll at Government Canyon State Natural Area

Start your kids out on the right foot enjoying the outdoors! Join dedicated volunteers on a FUN and easy family-friendly walk. Participants will learn about nature, wildlife, native plants, and whatever else the kiddos find along the way.
Activity distance will be approximately 1.25 miles on a compacted crush granite surface. Strollers welcome!
All ages welcome; minors must be accompanied by their legal guardian. No pets please.
Meet at the Rock Garden beside the Visitor’s Center. Open to the first 15 who check in at the Rock Garden between 8:30 and 8:45 AM. The stroll starts promptly at 9:00 AM, please arrive on time. We will use the Discovery Trail, which has a compacted crushed granite surface.

Though the activity is free, entrance fees to the Natural Area apply. To save time at the Fee Booth and ensure entrance on crowded days, please pre-purchase and PRINT OUT a Day Pass.
Please note: reserving a Day Pass does not guarantee a spot for you on the walk! The walk is limited to the first 15 participants to check-in with the hike leader.
