Celebrate Valentine's Day and join the Texas Air Museum as they celebrate the remarkable 135th birthday of Katherine Stinson, a pioneering figure in aviation history!

Born on February 14, 1891, Ms. Stinson was the fourth woman in the United States to earn a pilot's license and made history as the first woman to execute a loop de loop aerial stunt.

At this special event, they will showcase fascinating artifacts, photographs, and videos that highlight her incredible achievements. Attendees will also have the opportunity to view a reproduction of one of her early wood and cloth airplanes, complete with its original engine. Plus enjoy cookies & drinks!

Furthermore, the Stinson family has the honor of founding Stinson Municipal Airport, located on the south side of San Antonio, which proudly holds the title of the second-oldest airport in the United States. This gathering is not only a celebration of Katherine Stinson's legacy but also a tribute to the contributions of women in aviation.
