The Shops at La Cantera - Equestrian Heritage Parade Honoring San Antonio Rodeo

In celebration of heritage, tradition, and community, The Shops at La Cantera welcomes members of the San Antonio Charros Association and escaramuzas on horseback to honor the SA Rodeo. Established in 1950, the Rodeo has become a showplace for livestock and agricultural expositions, cattleman sports, and family entertainment that also celebrates Western and Mexican equestrian traditions, to benefit the youth of Texas.
A live equestrian heritage parade begins at The Falls on Main Street at 1:00 PM, making its way to Center Court, offering guests an unforgettable encounter with an authentic charro tradition, bringing the spirit of the rodeo into the heart of La Cantera’s shopping district. The parade is designed for maximum visibility and organic audience engagement while maintaining safety and respect for the animals and performers.
Guests will have a limited opportunity to take photos following the parade until 2:00 PM, and can enjoy live country music sponsored by Tecovas starting at 1:00 PM and DJ music by Angel Cisneros at Center Court from 2:00-4:00 PM.
