Create beautiful artwork that captures the colors of a summer day at Government Canyon.
Join a ranger any time during this come-and-go event to learn more about the plants and soils at Government Canyon, which you can use to create a memory of a summer morning to take with you. Pounded wildflower petals, soil, sticks, and other natural objects we're providing can be incorporated in your art...you choose!
Please don't bring any objects with you, as wood and seeds from other locations can bring pests with them. Please don't collect any objects yourself at Government Canyon. We'll provide everything you need.
Who Is Invited:
This activity is stationary (no hike), and artists of all ages are welcome. Minors must be accompanied by their parent or guardian. No pets please.

This activity will be at the Group Picnic Pavilion, near the Visitor Center. Lot A or B will be the closest parking. The parking lot and path to the pavilion are paved and near an accessible restroom.
