School Discovery Day at the DoSeum

The DoSeum will be reserved for exclusive use during event hours. Families will enter the main doors to the lobby and be greeted by the SDN team for check-in. Each family will receive a free tote bag with goodies and information while supplies last. There will be a code to scan for a digital map of schools and organizations at School Discovery Day.
Representatives from schools of choice will be set up in spaces around The DoSeum. School models at the event include public charter schools, in-district charter schools, magnet schools, private schools, preschools, and homeschooling. Guests participating in the scavenger hunt and interacting with schools can enter a raffle to win a prize.

It's important to pre-register for this free event by signing up everyone in your family who is at least one year old. After parking, come to the main entrance; the doors will open at 9 AM. Once in the lobby, go to the front desk and show the QR codes (tickets) to an SDN team member to check in. Adults who attend without a child will need to present a valid driver's license and submit a brief background check before entry. Each family will receive a free tote bag, while supplies last. Your family will receive wristbands to participate in a scavenger hunt and enter the raffle. At the SDN table upstairs, you can spin a wheel to win a prize; they will hold a fun raffle drawing at 11:40 AM.
Ticket demand is expected to be high. Here are some policies they have in place to manage attendance and provide a good experience for all guests: If the building reaches max capacity (1,000 guests), they will ask incoming guests to queue outside until other guests leave. They will not be accepting walk-ins at this event. At 11:30 AM, they will stop admitting guests as there will not be enough time to engage with schools and experience the galleries before the event closes at Noon. Guests must leave promptly at 12:00 PM so that the team can clean up and The DoSeum can be made ready for the public at 1:00 PM.
