Ease into the new year with your favorite canine friend on a guided dog-walk along the Savannah Loop Trail.
This hike is approximately 2.25 miles in length with a small amount of elevation change and relatively gentle terrain. Hike leaders will share the natural history of GCSNA and point out the important restoration work being done along this trail.
Open to all ages; no strollers please. Minors must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian. Pets must be leashed at all times.
Park in Lot C and meet your guides at the Frontcountry Trailhead.
Plan to arrive early as mornings can be very busy. Be ready to go no later than 9:45 AM; the hike starts promptly at 10:00 AM.
The activity is free but entrance fees to the Natural Area do apply. They often fill to capacity. To ensure entrance and save time at the Fee Booth, please pre-purchase and print out a day pass.
Please note: reserving a Day Pass does not guarantee a spot for you on the hike! The hike is limited to the first 15 participants to check-in with the hike leader.
This program is weather-dependent and subject to cancellation. Check trail conditions by calling GCSNA's main office at 210-688-9055, or go to the GCSNA webpage, Instagram, or Facebook.
