
Search for vesper sparrows, loggerhead shrikes, spotted towhees, and other winter residents in the varied habitats along Lytle's Loop. Hike 2-3 miles in the Frontcountry with a GCSNA Ranger. Birders of all skill levels are welcome. They will have loaner binoculars if you need to borrow a pair.
This hike is limited to the first 12 people to check in with the ranger. Ages 10 and up. Minors must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian. No pets please.
Meet at the Frontcountry Trailhead in parking lot C, near the Amphitheater. The hike will leave promptly at 8:00 AM, so please plan to arrive early.
Registration is NOT required for this hike. The hike is free but entrance fees to the Natural Area do apply.To ensure entrance and save time at the Fee Booth, please pre-purchase and print out a day pass.
Please note: Reserving a Day Pass does not guarantee a spot for you on the hike! The hike is limited to the first 12 participants to check in with the hike leader.
