Colors of the Canyon at Government Canyon State Natural Area

  • When: Saturday, November 2, 2024,  2:00 pm -  4:00 pm
  • Location: Government Canyon State Natural Area: 12861 Galm Rd., San Antonio, TX 78254
  • Cost: Free with Park Admission

Create beautiful artwork that captures the colors of an autumn day at Government Canyon.

Join a ranger any time during this come and go event to learn more about the plants and soils at Government Canyon, which you can use to create a memory of a November afternoon to take with you. Pounded wildflower petals, soil, sticks, and other natural objects we're providing can be incorporated in your art...you choose!

Please don't bring any objects with you, as wood and seeds from other locations can bring pests with them. Please don't collect any objects yourself at Government Canyon. We'll provide everything you need.
