Welcome to our Middle School Mindset Skills Workshop!
About: Our Middle School Mindset Workshop is tailored to students as they navigate the challenges of moving to a new school and a new phase of adolescence. We plan to cover various topics, ranging from social media and online safety (AI), body image and societal pressures, Peer pressure, bullying, risky behaviors, interacting with older students, transitioning to middle school and expectations, addressing anxiety and stress, and more.
What To Expect: This in-person group, typically lasting around three hours per meeting, is designed to provide a supportive environment for your child's transition. It will have two meetings total, equating to a six-hour commitment. Participants must be able to commit to both dates of the group they enroll in and cannot be combined with a different group.
Participants are welcome to bring a snack or lunch.
Not Counseling: It's important to note that while these groups provide support, they are not counseling sessions. Instead, they offer a nurturing environment for skill development. Facilitation will be carried out by our graduate-level Counselors under the supervision of Whitni Toson, MA, LPC-S, and Madeline Jones, MA, LPC.
