KLRN Career Day at The Neighborhood Place

KLRN is excited to invite families across San Antonio to their annual Career Day, a fun-filled and engaging event designed to spark curiosity and inspire the next generation!
Hosted in collaboration with Family Service Association at their Neighborhood Place, this special event brings together community partners, interactive experiences, and inspiring speakers, all focused on introducing families to the wide world of career opportunities.
At Career Day, families will explore exciting pathways in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) through:
- Hands-on activities for children of all ages
- Interactive booths hosted by local organizations
- Opportunities to connect with professionals and community leaders
- Inspiring career insights that make learning real and meaningful
- Holt Group Vehicle Demonstrations
New this year:
In addition to family-friendly activities, a job fair will be hosted on-site, offering valuable opportunities for adults and job seekers to connect with local employers, explore career options, and learn about available positions within the community.
Whether your child is dreaming of becoming an engineer, artist, scientist, or you’re exploring your own next career step, this event is designed to support the whole family.
Special Guests You Won’t Want to Miss:
Enjoy a special appearance by PBS KIDS character Lily from Weather Hunters, bringing even more excitement and joy to the day! Lily will have meet and greets from 10:30 am- 11 am; 11:30 am- 12 pm and 12:30 pm- 1 pm.
In addition, welcome remarks at 10:45 am, followed by a special guest speaker, Dinosaur George, at 11 am, plus a Q&A.
