Visit the Historic Market Square for San Antonio's annual El Grito celebration. Experience live Mexican music, folkloric dancers, and browse food and craft vendor booths. The event culminates in the official San Antonio "El Grito" civic ceremony hosted by the Consulate General of Mexico in San Antonio.
This free, family-oriented celebration is open to the public and includes children's art activities as well as performances, food, and more fun for the whole family!
El GRITO SAN ANTONIO is the city's official celebration of Mexican Independence. The Cultural Program starts at 6:00 PM, featuring international performers. The Civic Ceremony begins promptly at 8:00 PM and is a part of the worldwide celebration EL GRITO EN EL MUNDO.
