Amazing Preservation Race for Kids at Hemisfair

The City’s Office of Historic Preservation (OHP) invites kids (aged 3-12 yrs.) to channel their inner superhero and face off at the Amazing Preservation Race for Kids (APR Kids)! The race is a fun, place-focused scavenger hunt for the whole family that explores San Antonio's history and architecture. Join in and discover the many hidden treasures of Hemisfair! Racers will be given a passport with a map leading them to a series of fun and interactive challenges, including an archaeological dig, tower building, and gondola race.
At registration, kids will receive their race packet, which includes a race passport and a buff. An adult guardian must remain with your racer at all times. Once your party has completed the race, you may continue enjoying the park and continue your day. The Yanaguana Garden has a splash pad, and Paleteria San Antonio will open at 11 am if you want to enjoy a refreshing treat after the race!

Event will take place at the Central Games Plaza at Yanaguana Park in Hemisfair.
Please have one parent/guardian for every four children.
8:00 AM check-in begins, race starts at 8:30 AM.
