
Get ready for a FIN-tastic day of casting lines and making memories at Brackenridge Park! The Fin Addict Angler Foundation & the Brackenridge Park Conservancy invite families and friends to our annual Family & Friends Fishing Day, with a special stocking of channel catfish in the San Antonio River.
Pre-register today. (For Example: Quantity: Family of 1, then complete the names of the parent/guardian and all youth participating). Registration will be completed at the check-in station.
What to Expect:
-Free Fishing Lessons from 9:00-11:00 AM
-License Exempt: No fishing license is required for participants fishing at the event.
-Catfish Stocking: Over 600 channel catfish will be released for junior anglers and families to catch!
-Poles & Bait Provided: For beginners through the loaner Program for a gift donation of $5 (for the first 100 participants)
-Fishing Contest: Prizes for the first fish caught and the biggest fish (age requirement: 16 and under).
-Family Friendly: A wonderful opportunity to share a love for the outdoors in a beautiful setting.
Key Details:
Meeting Point & Parking: Joske Pavilion adjacent to BPC Headquarters
New Beginner Anglers: Introduction to fishing at the Joske Pavilion on the day of the event.
Supervision: Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
After 12 PM: A fishing license is required for anyone fishing after the event concludes.
