KLRN’s Play & Learn Series for Military Families is an 8-week hybrid program designed to support caregivers and young children through hands-on learning, family connection, and accessible educational resources. Developed with the unique needs of military families in mind, this series combines in-person sessions with flexible at-home activities that fit into busy and ever-changing schedules.
Each week, families engage in playful, developmentally appropriate activities inspired by PBS KIDS, Sesame Workshop, and early childhood best practices. Sessions focus on building school readiness skills, strengthening social-emotional development, and creating opportunities for meaningful parent-child interaction.
Caregivers also receive a dedicated parent component, offering tools, videos, and strategies to support learning and routines at home—especially during times of transition common in military life.
Whether families are new to the area, in between duty changes, or simply looking to connect with other military households, the Play & Learn Series provides a welcoming community, high-quality resources, and weekly moments of joy and growth for both children and caregivers.
