San Antonio families are invited to a FREE natural history experience at Dinosaur George’s Museum & Gift Shop inside Traders Village. This special event brings together hands-on science, holiday weekend fun, and a rare opportunity to meet one of the most recognized names in paleontology outreach.
Dinosaur George—author, television host, paleontology educator, and the creator of the globally acclaimed Dinosaur George Kids Podcast (with millions of listeners around the world)—will be on-site to greet visitors, answer questions, assist with geode cracking, and take photos with fans.
Guests can purchase and crack open real geodes ($), enjoy our Gem Mining Station ($), and shop a curated selection of authentic rocks, minerals, crystals, and fossils—perfect for holiday gifts, collectors, and young science enthusiasts.
Our museum is always free, offering families a chance to explore prehistoric fossils, engaging educational displays, and hands-on learning for all ages. The event runs until 2:00 PM but the museum and gift shop will remain open until 5:00 PM.
