Before the Battle of the Alamo, there was the Battle of Béxar, with street fighting in and around the Alamo that ended in Texas victory. Retrace the footsteps of the battle with Ernesto Rodriguez, our distinguished historian who is celebrating more than 25 years of service to the Alamo.
During this evening walking tour of downtown San Antonio, you will walk the path taken by Ben Milam as he called for volunteers, see battle landmarks along Main Plaza, and learn what brought the front lines of the Texas Revolution to San Antonio and the Alamo. Featured highlights include homes used by Texian Army officers and a priest’s house seized through bitter house-to-house fighting.
The tour will begin and end at Alamo Plaza.
Ticket sales open to the public on Friday, October 10.
