Every first Tuesday of the month, enjoy extra family-friendly programming with SAMA during their Bexar County FREE admission hours. Please Note: While Bexar County free hours begin at 4:00 PM, First Tuesday programming starts at 5:00 PM.

Aug. 2025: Get inspired by ReadyMade Remix and turn the everyday into art! Using Shrinky Dinks, create mini works based on found objects—then watch them shrink into wearable charms or sculptural keepsakes.
Sept. 2025: Join us for a magical afternoon with Opera San Antonio! Enjoy a short performance inspired by Mozart’s The Magic Flute and get creative with hands-on art making.
Nov. 2025: Embrace the unexpected! This informal, beginner-friendly workshop invites participants to experience the joy of unpredictability. Teachers from House Party Improv will facilitate lighthearted exercises through which you’ll learn to trust your instincts, collaborate in the moment, and discover the art of improvisation. Seasoned performers and curious observers alike are welcome!
Dec. 2025: Celebrate the spirit of winter! Join a welcoming community gathering to share hopes, gratitude, and bright ideas by contributing to a glowing, collaborative light installation. All ages are invited to reflect, connect, and create together in this seasonal experience.
