Retama Park Race Track - LOPE Youth Education Event
- When: Saturday, August 2, 2025, 3:00 pm - 9:00 pm

This event is open to K-12 students, teachers and parents. 4-H, FFA and Pony Club members are especially welcome!
Schedule:
3:00-6:00 PM
- Learning Lab featuring demos and mini-science/veterinary with track pony horses (no riding)
- LOPE and Horse Wise teaching methods
- Q&A with guest speakers (vet, horse trainer, outrider)
- Tour of the race barn area (weather/time permitting)
Afterwards, stay for Family Night at Retama Park, from 6:00-9:00 PM and enjoy:
- Special grandstand seating
- Free tickets to watch the races
- Informal Q&A with race trainers and jockeys
- Camel and ostrich races
