KLRN STEM Day at The DoSeum

Commemorating the U.S. National Science Foundation's 75 Years of Discovery and Innovation- KLRN and The DoSeum are joining museums across the country by participating in the NSF’s STEM Day, an event for learners of all ages filled with exciting hands-on activities and a screening of Cyberchase.
Join us at The DoSeum for a free, family-friendly event that celebrates learning!
Schedule of Events:
Cyberchase Screening in English & Spanish and Hands-on STEM activities will be ongoing throughout the event.
Welcome and Dinosaur George Discussion

Meet & Greet with Digit from Cyberchase at the top of every hour for 30 mins.
Activities Offered:
-St. Philip’s College Engineering & Math Department - students will guide a Scribbler Robot, a mobile robot that can be programmed for creative drawing patterns, to create their very own STEM-themed picture!
-KLRN Education Team- explore what candy and semiconductors have in common with a Chip Kids diffusion activity that teaches about the process of manufacturing semiconductors!
-KLRN Education Team- Plant a sunflower
-Alamo NEX Construction- participate in a spaghetti tower building challenge
-STEM Activity with the Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas
-UTSA Chemistry Department
Door Prizes awarded every 30 minutes.

-Registration for this event is required.
-The event will be held in the theater room just as you enter the museum but before you go through the admission desk.
-There is no need to purchase a Doseum ticket in order to attend the screening. However, if you would like to enter the actual Doseum you will you need to pay the admission fee.
