City Nature Challenge Observation Walk at Brackenridge Park

  • When: Friday, April 25, 2025,  1:00 pm -  3:00 pm
  • Location: 531 Brackenridge Wy, San Antonio, TX 78212
  • Cost: Free

Join Jane Weeden, Alamo Area Master Naturalist, and the Brackenridge Park Conservancy for the chance to explore Brackenridge Park. Using the iNaturalist app, participants will learn to spot and identify plants, birds, insects, and mammals in natural area. Sightings documented during the hike will add information to San Antonio and Bexar County's understanding of what flora and fauna we share space with. Easy to moderate hiking.

What is the City Nature Challenge? Join the Texas Master Naturalists, San Antonio Natural Areas, Phil Hardberger Park Conservancy, Texas Parks Wildlife Dept and many others in a fun challenge this weekend, April 25-28 to see which city can document the most plant and animal species. It's easy to participate by joining an event or making observations on your own using iNaturalist!
