Homeschool Field Trip - Mission Farm Tour with SA Food Bank

Homeschoolers are invited to join us at the farm at the San Antonio Missions National Historic Park.

We are offering a special group discount for this field trip!

This unique farm, run by the San Antonio Food Bank, offers an educational journey through the evolution of agriculture in South Texas and a glimpse into how the Food Bank supports our community. Plus, a large portion of the proceeds help fight hunger locally!

Highlights include:
-A native crop orchard with indigenous food sources like nopales and drought-resistant fruits.
-Spanish Colonial Demonstration Farm showcasing historic acequia irrigation techniques.
-Modern peach and fig orchards.
-15 acres of annual crops with cutting-edge drip line irrigation.
