Civic Park Phase 2 Grand Opening Ceremony at Hemisfair

Hemisfair is thrilled to invite the public to the official ribbon-cutting ceremony for Civic Park. This special event will mark the grand opening of San Antonio’s newest signature green space, with city officials and community leaders in attendance to celebrate this milestone. The public is invited to join Hemisfair for a momentous occasion as the park, designed to bring people together and enhance the heart of the city, is unveiled.
The new section of Civic Park connects Hemisfair with one of the busiest pedestrian intersections in the city! Visitors can now enjoy a tree-lined walkway that seamlessly connects Downtown and Southtown.
The newest addition to the Hemisfair District includes:
-Source Plaza: Considered San Antonio's front porch at the corner of Market Street and S. Alamo Street - the busiest pedestrian intersection in the city!
-The Promenade: A shady, pedestrian connection between Downtown and Southtown.
-The Zócalo: A flexible terrace with seating, decorative tilework, and a water feature inspired by our region’s acequias.
-The Stage: A new home for concerts and large-scale events at the north end of the Great Lawn.
