11/01 Main Plaza - Mariposas on the Plaza

Visit Main Plaza's Riverwalk Portal to dedicate a butterfly to someone dearly departed. Tradition says that the migration of the butterflies during Dia de los Muertos represents the return of souls of loved ones passed, flying by to greet and bless those they left behind.

The trees of Main Plaza will be adorned with the butterflies, and local folk artist Meghan Marie will perform an acoustic set. Pan dulce and hot chocolate will round out the evening for a contemplative space to celebrate memories and the love that remains.
