The SA Armadillos are San Antonio's locally run youth travel lacrosse club, based at Olmos Basin Soccer Fields and coached by Great American Lacrosse. Our positive, encouraging environment lets kids feel comfortable being themselves and motivated to try their best.
TEAMS
• Boys — 1st through 8th grade
• Girls — 5th through 8th grade
Our boys travel teams are organized by graduation year and play in the San Antonio league: 2031 (7th–8th), 2033 (5th–6th), 2035 (3rd–4th) and 2037 (1st–2nd). All four teams travel to tournaments. Our 1st–4th grade levels play 7v7 and our 5th grade and up play 10v10.
ALL SKILL LEVELS WELCOME
Nobody gets cut and nobody sits out. Several of our players started a season having never held a stick — and we went out and won the first tournament we played in. Boys tryouts are free, and you can come to one or all of them just to meet the coaches and see what a practice is like.
GEAR
Full lacrosse gear is required to play: stick, helmet, gloves, shoulder pads, elbow pads, cleats and mouthguard. Need gear? Contact us — we'll help make it work.
Head coach Paul Taylor played NCAA Division III lacrosse and has coached 15+ years, from 1st grade through varsity.
