Mitchell Lake Audubon Center

Mitchell lake Audubon Center is a nature center and wildlife refuge affiliated with the National Audubon Society, located 20 minutes south of downtown San Antonio. Critically located along the Central Flyway, over 340 bird species may be seen throughout the year. In addition to birdwatching, enjoy over 7.5 miles of hiking and walking trails, accessible driving trails, and public programs year-round.

We offer a variety of TEKS-aligned Academic programs and Tours at our center, on your campus, and at third-party facilities.

Volunteering:
Volunteering is an exciting and rewarding way to participate with Audubon. We are always looking for enthusiastic individuals or groups of people to support and enhance our programs.
