San Antonio Humane Society

Tours of the San Antonio Humane Society are free of charge and last between 30 minutes to just over an hour depending on the option selected. Tours can be scheduled Monday-Saturday between 10am-12pm or Monday-Friday after 3pm. If these times do not work for your group, please include a note in your request form and we will do our best to accommodate your needs. Maximum capacity for in-person shelter tours is 20, and we ask that 1 adult be present for every 4 children in attendance. *Pet interaction on the tour is subject to availability and not a guarantee.

A Pet’s Journey - Go behind the scenes at the SAHS to learn about the journey our pets go on when they arrive at the shelter. We will walk through our new medical facility as well as the adoption kennels while learning about the care and rehabilitation our staff provides to each furry friend that comes through our doors. This tour lasts 60-75 minutes and is best suited for participants in 1st grade and older.
