 rs.\n\nThe hike is approximately 1.5-2 miles round trip over sections of mo
 derately rough terrain with frequent stops to identify flowers.\n\nWho is I
 nvited: Open to ages 8 and over; minors must be accompanied by their parent
  or legal guardian. No pets please.\n\nRegistration, Fees, Day Pass & Cance
 llation: Registration is required for this hike. Program group size is limi
 ted. Sorry, no group registrations.\n\nRegistration opens on Saturday, two 
 weeks prior to the event, and closes at noon, the Thursday before the event
 . Though the hike is free, entrance fees to the Natural Area apply.\n\nTo e
 nsure entrance and save time at the Fee Booth please pre-purchase and PRINT
  OUT a Day Pass. SPECIAL NOTE: Reserving a Day Pass is NOT the same as maki
 ng a program reservation.\n\nThis outing is subject to cancellation. Check 
 trail conditions by going to the GCSNA twitter feed or the Government Canyo
 n State Natural Area Facebook page.\n\nWhen & Where to Meet: Arrive no late
 r than 8:15 AM. Meet at the Visitor Center. The Natural Area can be very bu
 sy! The Natural Area front gates open at 7:00 AM; plan to be at the Visitor
  Center and ready to go no later than 8:15 AM. The hike starts promptly at 
 8:30 AM.\n\nWhat to Wear & Bring: Dress for time spent outdoors. Comfortabl
 e shoes, bug spray and a hat are recommended. Bring at least one bottle of 
 water per person and a snack.
