 ion.<br /><br />Bexar Heritage is delighted to invite you to the official k
 ickoff of Bexar America250 at Main Plaza, historically known as Plaza de la
 s Islas.<br /><br />This special event, presented in partnership with the M
 ain Plaza Conservancy, will bring the community together to celebrate the r
 ich and often surprising contributions of historic Bexar County. Bexar Coun
 ty Judge Peter Sakai, along with several County Commissioners, will join us
  for remarks marking this celebratory occasion. This event will feature cat
 tle and horses provided by the San Antonio Charro Association, as well as p
 articipation from the Bexar County Mounted Horse Deputies Unit. Since this 
 region was part of Spanish Texas at the time, the program will spotlight Be
 xar County’s important role in supporting the American Revolution under Spa
 nish rule.<br /><br />We are also honored to welcome Los Granaderos y Damas
  de Gálvez, including a member portraying Bernardo de Gálvez, whose leaders
 hip and legacy remain central to this history. In addition, we will include
  participation from the Daughters of the American Revolution, Sons of the A
 merican Revolution, Canary Islands Descendants Association, American Indian
 s in Texas at the Spanish Colonial Missions, the 1718 Presidio Soldiers gro
 up, and several others, making this a truly inclusive and meaningful commem
 oration.<br /><br />Come celebrate Bexar County’s unique place in the story
  of America!
