SUMMARY:Government Canyon State Natural Area - Trek to the Dino Tracks

DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:It's hard to imagine, but this location was ocean-side property 100 million
  years ago. Government Canyon is home to fossil tracks from two different d
 inosaurs, a sauropod and a theropod, who left tracks along a muddy beach, w
 hich is now preserved as rock. Take a hike with a ranger to see the tracks 
 and learn what we know about them so far. \n\nThis hike is open to ages 8 a
 nd up. Minors must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian. No pet
 s please. Be aware that this hike includes some elevation gain and loss ove
 r rough, rocky topography. The hike to the tracks is 2.5 miles one-way, mak
 ing a 5-mile round trip. \n\nThis is a public program intended for individu

  will have the closest parking. The hike will leave promptly at 9:00 AM, so
  plan to arrive early.
