 hosted by Boerne Parks and Recreation. Sign up and come out to Boerne City 
 Lake Park for a day full of fishing fun for the whole family.<br /><br />Pa
 rks and Recreations Boerne is excited to provide this free opportunity to i
 ntroduce the sport of fishing to children, as well as to create a safe envi
 ronment for parents and children to enjoy the outdoors together.<br /><br /
 >The tournament is held each year on the first Saturday in June, which is a
 lso Free Fishing Day in Texas when adults don't need a license to put a hoo
 k in the water. That means adults fishing in this tournament are not requir
 ed to carry a fishing license.<br /><br />The day kicks off with a morning 
 check in followed by a pre-fishing meeting for all the participants. Fishin
 g gets started shortly after that with the final weigh-in coming before noo
 n. That's when it is determined who has the biggest catches of the day and 
 trophies and raffle prizes are handed out!
